On Saturday, November 2, 2019 two Davis County Monster Concerts were held at CenterPoint Legacy Theatre. Thanks to the support of 28 teachers, 300 students, and very generous sponsors, we were able to raise enough funds to purchase 4 brand-new Boston upright pianos from Daynes Music.

A heart-felt thank you goes out to Gary K. Thomas for writing a brilliant arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody for my students to perform in the concert. And thank you to Jordan Fajardo-Bird for being our fabulous percussionist!

I was invited by Karen Thickstun to co-write an article about fundraising in her column of the American Music Teacher. It was published in the December/January 2017-18 edition. The article tells of the exciting journey of raising funds for the Lenora Brown Recital Stage at Bountiful Davis Art Center.
