Private students have the opportunity to participate in various activities throughout the year.

Royal Conservatory Certificate Program

The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program provides a recognized national musical standard through a sequenced course of study from beginner to advanced levels. All students who are enrolled in my studio participate in the Royal Conservatory Certificate Program. Depending on the level of the student, the annual fee for examinations range between $60.00-300.00.

 

 Performance Classes

Performance classes are held Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:00 AM. Classes give students the opportunity to perform in front of their peers as well as learn techniques on how to deal with performance anxiety.

 Formal Studio Recitals

Recitals offer the opportunity for students to demonstrate their progress to family and friends and to help students develop self-confidence and musical mastery. Recitals are held in May and December.

 

 

Community Service Performance Events

Students have the opportunity to participate in various community service performance events including the Silent Film Celebration and Monster Concerts.

 

 Utah Symphony Youth Guild

Students (ages 8-18) are highly encouraged to become members of the Utah Symphony Youth Guild. The Youth Guild offers valuable educational and service opportunities as well as providing discounted ticket vouchers to the Utah Symphony and Utah Opera.

 

 Competitions and Evaluations

Competitions and evaluations are administered though various organizations including:Utah Music Teachers Association, High School Solo and Ensemble, Salt Lake Piano Competition, University of Utah Piano Area SummerArts, and Utah Symphony Youth Guild.
